What we collect
When you use the contact form or the investigation request form we collect the name, email address, phone number and message you enter. When you book a ticket or sign the waiver online we collect what is described in those sections below. This site does not use advertising or analytics tracking.
Why we collect it
To answer you, and to arrange an investigation if that is what you asked for. We do not sell your information or share it beyond what this page describes, and we do not add you to a mailing list unless you ask us to.
Buying a ticket
When you book a hunt we collect the name, email address and phone number you enter at checkout, and whether you ticked the box to hear about future events. We also record the IP address the booking was made from and the time you accepted the waiver terms at checkout, and keep them with the booking as the record of that acceptance.
Payment is handled by Stripe on its own checkout page. Your name, email address and phone number are passed to Stripe for the payment. This site never sees or stores your card details. We use the booking to send your confirmation and ticket, to check you in at the door, and to handle a refund or a change of night.
Bookings are seen only by the After Watch team and by Adapt Automations LLC, who build and run this site for us. They are stored with Cloudflare, which hosts this site, and we do not sell them or share them with anyone else. We keep a booking for as long as we need it for our accounts and taxes, and the waiver acceptance with it for as long as we keep signing records (see below).
Signing the waiver online
Every attendee aged 18 or over signs the participant waiver, and a parent or guardian signs for anyone under 18, either online through the signing link emailed with a booking or in person on arrival. When you sign online we collect what the signing form asks for: your full name and date of birth, or for a participant under 18, their full name and date of birth and the full name of the parent or guardian signing for them, and the name you type as your signature. We also record the time you signed, the IP address you signed from, and your browser's user agent (the short description of the browser and device it sends with every page).
We collect this to keep a record of who agreed to the waiver, which version they agreed to and when, and to check that everyone signing is old enough to sign. It is seen only by the After Watch team, who use it at the door and keep it as the record of your agreement, and by Adapt Automations LLC, who build and run this site for us and can see it while doing that work. It is stored with Cloudflare, which hosts this site, and we do not sell it or share it with anyone else.
We keep signing records for as long as they could be needed as evidence of the agreement, which can be several years after the event, because a claim about an event can be brought long after it. We do not use them for anything else.
Client confidentiality
Client names, addresses and personal experiences are confidential. If a case appears in our public archive, private residences are anonymised and no address is published. Commercial clients decide what may be shared before anything is published. This obligation is written into our standards of conduct.
How long we keep it
Form submissions are stored so we can find your enquiry later. Ask us to delete yours and we will.
Spam protection
Forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a submission came from a person rather than a script. Cloudflare processes technical information about that check.
